Daycare Worker

*Minimum Requirements:*

*Alberta Child Care Level 1,2 or 3 Certification Required*

• A passion for working with children and an interest in education.
• 1-2 years experience working in a childcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of FLIGHT, Learning through Play, and Reggio Emilia curriculum.
• Must have CURRENT background check with vulnerable sector search
• Must have CURRENT First Aid/CPR

Duties:

• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare classroom
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and educational activities
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the daycare classroom
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education degree preferred
• Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
• Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children, including those with special needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$26.62 per hour
