Delivery Truck Driver

EXPERIENCED 3 and 5 Ton Truck Delivery Driver

*Full ? Time Permanent with Benefits*

*Terminal location: Calgary, AB*

*Start time: 04:00 AM to 4:00 PM*

*Working days: Monday to Friday*

_*Possibility of work on Weekends and or Holidays*_

*What you will do:*

• _*Drive Hino or International 3 and 5 ton commercial trucks to deliver, pick up freights and perform overflow volume to assigned stops in and around Calgary.*_
• Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time _*(25-30 deliveries/day and 2-3 pickups)*_
• Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
• _Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck_ _*Lift and or carry freight (hand bomb) up to 50lbs.*_
• Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
• Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
• Report on all safety hazards and accidents
• Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc?.
• Provide excellent customer service
• Build strong client relationships
• Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
• Additional duties as required

*What we require of you:*

• High School Diploma
• _Valid 5 Driver's License is a must_
• Possess a Clean Commercial and Personal Driver?s Abstract
• Courier or LTL experience is an asset
• _*Minimum 2 year COMMERCIAL TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVING experience*_
• _*This shift will be Monday to Friday from 5:30 AM to 3:30PM*_
• _*Lift and carry freight up to 50 lbs. (Hand bomb work)*_
• _*Load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a dolley and or a pallet truck*_
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
• Customer Focus ? experience providing quality customer service
• Adaptable to change
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to work on a team and being a team player
• Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
• Must have a safety and compliance mind set
