General Accountant

*Overview*

The General Accountant supports accurate financial operations through organized bookkeeping, transaction processing, and account review. This role helps colleagues make informed decisions by keeping financial records clear, current, and dependable.

*Responsibilities*

• Maintain accounting records and perform bookkeeping, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
• Complete bank reconciliations, support budgeting and corporate finance activities, and prepare information for audits.
• Use accounting software to organize financial data, investigate discrepancies, and support timely reporting.
• Manage month-end close activities including preparation & posting of journal entries (accruals, prepaids, payroll, intercompany) while ensuring accuracy & completeness of the general ledger
• Maintain & update fixed asset records
• Collaborate with AP/AR teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure completeness of transactions & maintain integrity of financial reporting
• Provide cost & inventory analysis to support business decisions
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, controls & close timelines
• Ad hoc analysis, requests & special projects as required

*SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS*

• *BA in Accounting*; or equivalent, CPA designation preferred.
• *Minimum 4 years of accounting experience*

*Required:* Practical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and payroll using accounting software. Clear organization and sound judgment support accurate records, account analysis, and dependable reporting.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
