General Accountant

Clover Tool Manufacturing Limited is a Canadian based and owned, privately held company. We specialize in automotive tooling, stampings and assemblies. We are capable of running a number of diverse projects. Today, Clover Tool operates in over a 175,000 square foot facility providing a full service solution to its customers from prototyping, tooling, R&D work, stamping, assembling and welding to finished product. *Reporting Relationship*

The General Accountant reports to the Controller. Cross functional relationships exist between Accounting activities and all departments. Entrusted with maintaining the confidentially of accounting information.

*Job Responsibilities:*

• Assist Controller in the day to day accounting functions, internal financial reporting and cost control, overall responsibility for the financial statement and interaction with external auditors.
• Schedule yearly financial audit with external auditors. Prepare necessary paperwork for the yearly financial audit.
• Yearly review and updating of accounting department SOPs
• Sales invoice processing ? including, scrap & tooling, preparation of deposits and application
• Liaise with customers regarding invoices, statements and discrepancies
• Perform monthly sub-ledger reconciliations and quarterly balance reconciliations of all companies
• Complete necessary statutory reporting on a timely basis including tax remittances (GST, WSIB, payroll tax, Corporate and Prov. Tax- year end Goverment Remittance reconciliation) RRSP reconciliation and remittance.
• Responsible for commission calculation and payment of outside sales rep.
• Payroll processing and remittance
• Process bank reconciliations & entries, as well as intercompany entries
• Responsible for AR function and provides support to A/P and Controller
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant customer specific requirements

*Requirements and Qualifications:*

• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed
• Excellent communication skills.
• Secondary School diploma required.
• Minimum five year experience in similar position.
• Recognized Accounting Designation or Senior level of program
• Must have demonstrated ability to research and interpret data.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
