BuildKing Components Ltd. is an exciting new supplier of engineered wood trusses and building components, located in Ilderton, Ontario. Founded with extensive experience in the wood component industry, BuildKing brings together an established network of industry knowledge, relationships, and expertise to create a new and growing venture. We are building our sales team from the ground up and looking for motivated, relationship-driven sales professionals who want more than just a job.

As one of our first Sales Representatives, you will have the opportunity to help shape our customer base, establish key industry relationships, and have a genuine influence on the direction and growth of the company. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor, work directly with ownership, and grow alongside an ambitious new company.

*THE OPPORTUNITY *

We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Sales Representative to develop and grow our customer base throughout the building and construction industry. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with contractors, home builders, developers, and other industry professionals while promoting BuildKing's engineered wood products and building components.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the construction industry, enjoys developing new business, and is confident in their ability to build a strong book of business.

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES *

• Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and other construction industry professionals.
• Prospect and pursue new accounts while identifying opportunities to grow existing customer relationships.
• Promote and sell engineered wood trusses, wall panels, floor systems, and related building components.
• Review architectural and structural building plans to assist with accurate project quoting and pricing.
• Work closely with design and estimating teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and accurately quoted.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and production teams to confirm project specifications, order details, and timelines.
• Follow up on quotations, manage customer orders, and help coordinate project schedules.
• Proactively address customer concerns and assist in resolving scheduling and delivery issues. ? Conduct job site and customer office visits as required.
• Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the overall sales strategy and growth of BuildKing Components.

*QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE *

We are looking for someone who brings a combination of industry knowledge, sales experience, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Required / Strongly Preferred:

• A self-starter who is comfortable developing a book of business and generating new sales opportunities from the ground up.
• Existing relationships within the building industry, particularly with builders, contractors, and developers, are a strong asset.
• 2+ years of experience in building materials, lumber, construction, or related industry sales.
• Ability to read and interpret residential, commercial, and/or agricultural building plans.
• Understanding of engineered wood trusses, framing systems, and construction practices.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working with quoting software and basic computer applications.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, quotations, and customer relationships.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation. Additional Assets:
• Experience with truss design software such as MiTek or Alpine.
• Previous experience in framing, construction trades, or building component manufacturing.
• Established relationships with local builders, contractors, and construction professionals.
