Line Cook

Tandoor Chophouse, Bloom Mississauga, A Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is looking for a professional line cook. Line cook duties will consist of assisting others with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

*Qualifications:*

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and/or cooking school preferred.
• Working Knowledge of Indian cuisine preferable.

• Prepare food to quality and presentation standards

_*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*_

• Minimum 1-2 years experience or related training
• Knowledge of operating a tandoor oven is an asset
• Experience working on the line, deep fryers and grills
• Developed knife skills
• Developed food preparation skills
• Basic sauces and dressing knowledge and sandwich assembly skills
• Able to read, understand and follow recipes
• Can work at speed under pressure in an organized manner
• Ability to work with or without supervision
• FOODSAFE
• WHMIS knowledge and observance
• Occupational First Aid

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
