*Job Summary*

As an Asphalt Raker, you will support paving crews by distributing and shaping asphalt to help create smooth, consistent surfaces. This hands-on construction role involves working alongside equipment operators and other crew members, following job-site direction, and maintaining a steady, safety-conscious approach throughout paving work.

*Responsibilities*

• Rake and spread hot asphalt to fill low areas, smooth edges, and maintain an even surface.
• Work with the paving crew to coordinate material placement and keep the paving operation moving.
• Use hand tools and assist with heavy equipment operation as directed, following site procedures.
• Keep tools and the immediate work area orderly, and communicate changing surface conditions to the crew.

Your impact: Consistent raking helps the crew deliver a smoother finished surface and reduces the need for corrective work.

*Experience*

Required: Practical ability to follow crew direction, use hand tools, and work carefully around active paving operations is important for completing duties reliably. Preferred: Construction experience, familiarity with paving work, and heavy equipment operation skills can help you contribute effectively and coordinate confidently with the crew.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
