Preoperative Care & Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced, autonomous, and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our surgical team.Position: Full-time, 4 to 5 days per weekSchedule: Monday to FridayExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Compensation: $35 to $58 per hour, based on experienceWho We AreFor over 15 years, Lacroix Private Medicine has established itself as a leader in private healthcare in Quebec. Our network includes 17 clinics, two surgical centres, more than 125 physicians, and nearly 300 employees.Our mission is to provide compassionate, accessible, high-quality care in an environment focused on innovation and excellence.Our values: Passion | Respect | Integrity | Commitment | InnovationYour RoleYou will be responsible for providing patient care before and after surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the clinical team.Preoperative CareAssess and prepare patients prior to surgery.Review medical history, medications, diagnostic tests, and medical records.Perform clinical assessments and identify any abnormalities or potential concerns.Educate, support, and reassure patients throughout the preoperative process.Ensure thorough documentation and effective coordination with the medical team.Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Provide immediate postoperative monitoring and care.Assess vital signs, level of consciousness, pain, and postoperative symptoms.Administer treatments and medications according to medical orders and established protocols.Promptly identify potential complications and intervene appropriately.Provide postoperative education and prepare patients for safe discharge.QualificationsDiploma of College Studies (DEC) in Nursing or equivalent.Member in good standing with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).Excellent clinical judgment, autonomy, and ability to prioritize effectively.Strong stress-management skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.Team-oriented, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care.Experience in emergency or critical care is considered an asset.Join Our TeamAre you looking to grow in a stimulating environment where your expertise, autonomy, and clinical judgment are truly valued?Join our dynamic team and help us provide patients with a safe, compassionate, and high-quality surgical experience.
