Health Care Aide - Part time

*Overview*

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable *part-time Health Care Aide* to support individuals with daily living and personal care needs. The role involves providing *senior care* and may include assisting people with disabilities in a home care or residential setting. The ideal candidate treats each person with dignity, respects their preferences, and helps maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

*Duties*

• Provide attentive *caregiving* and support with activities of daily living, following each person?s care plan.
• Offer companionship and respectful assistance to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Support people living with dementia using patient, person-centered communication and routines.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating *as needed*, while following dietary instructions.
• Complete light *cleaning* and household tasks to help keep the care environment tidy and safe.
• Observe and report changes in a person?s condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate care team member.
• Follow safety, privacy, infection-prevention, and documentation procedures.

*Qualifications*

• CLHA Registration
• Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check
• Immigration status documents
• Compassion, patience, reliability, and clear communication skills.
• Ability to follow care plan, maintain professional boundaries, and respect confidentiality.
• *Caregiving*, *senior care*, or *home care* experience is an asset.
• *Assisted living* or *nursing home* experience is an asset.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or providing *dementia care* is an asset.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience:

• Senior/Dementia Care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• CLHA Registration (preferred)
